In The Impossible House ** ”Is anyone there?” On the terrace overlooking the ocean, Yoo-jin looks back at the voice. Someone stands behind her. She gazes at the figure she has never forgotten. The sea breeze ruffles her hair. "Anyone ...?" He speaks once more to the unknown visitor who he can't see. She just stands there ,hearing his familiar voice, feeling something has clearly changed. Tears welles up, making her eyes blurry. Joon-sang's invisible eyes behind the sunglasses slowly move, thinking of the person who has not responded. He asks her in a whisper. "Yoo-jin....is that you?" Yoo-jin's trembling voice continues. "Is that you ... Joon-sang" The sound of waves gently fills two of them. "Yoo-jin" he murmurs her name. All she can do is standing there while tears spill over, thinking if she may be dreaming. Joon-sang's eyes are also moist with tears. They can't move. A voice comes from the doorway. "Sir?  Can't yo...

There is a certain distance between them, standing silently. "Well.." Breaking the silence, Joon-sang  looks down and giggles modestly. 'What is your expression like, Yoo-jin? It's really hard for a blind person to carry on a conversation in the circumstance like this" He tries to be casual about the reality of his blindness. Avoiding serious mood, she replies playfully. "What do you think how I look like? Take a guess, Joon-sang." "Hmmm." After thinking for a moment, he shakes his head. "No idea. How?" She sees him warmly, saying: "Probably the same  as you." He looks up, hearing her talking to him. "It's written all over your face. Let me see, you are in trouble because you don't know where to begin. Me as well." They both chuckle at the same time and then, lower their gazes at the same time. * * * Yoo-jin is sitting on a chair on the terrace, staring into the distance, feeling the sea breeze. Joon-san...

Joon-sang operates the cellphone with his practiced hands. He holds it to his ear for a while, waiting a reply. Yoo-jin finds the words "out of range" on the display that he pulled away from his ear. ”It says 'out of range'. I'm afraid cellphones are out of service here." "Out of range?  Really?" said he, blincking. Yoo-jin ,seeing him hanging up and folding his cellphone, asks him. "Is Mr. Kim Hyo-sook that Kim who I've known.... right?" He nods, and mumbles worriedly. "I wonder if the driver can find Kim-seonbae" His chestnut hair is a little messy in the wind. Yoo-jin says "It's ok", remembering what was like on the boat . "There were only 10 passengers at most on the ship that I got on. It may be easy to meet him." Reassured by her words, He slowly reaches for his cup. She gently guides his hand to the handle of the cup. Their fingertips touch each other. Their eyes helplessly flicker . ** They si...

** At that time the cart goes down the white road in the greenery. Kim, who had come to pick up Joon-sang at the dock, sits next to the driver. After listening to the driver telling why Joon-sang wasn't there, he looks thoughtful. Seeing the scenery moving at a leisurely pace, he mumbles to himself, "Hmmm, A woman visited that house..." He turns toward the driver, saying  ".... And was she tall and beautiful?" The driver replies with his eyes forward. ”Yes, I think so." "Then I can't think of anyone else. No new faces.” Despite his lighthearted words, Kim is not sure what to do, folding his arms. That house comes into view. ** "Joon-sang, I..." Yoo-jin gazes at her sweetheart on the terrace of the impossible house. "I've been__" "Congratulations, Yoo-jin" He puts down his cup and interrupts her, changing the tone of his voice with a fatherly expression "I'm glad to know the...matter of you and Sang-hyeon...

" Oh!" Yoo-jin turns around and stands up, bailing with smile. "Mr. Kim, it's been a while. How Have you been? " As he puts his luggage on the floor and takes off his shoes, he says cheerfully. "Nice to see you again. In fact__" Putting his hand on his chest, he walks toward her. "__ I was fine until this morning. But I got seasick." "I can't stand." he says with a slightly funny gesture. "Small boats tend to rock , you know." Joon-sang senses that Kim trys to set the mood and avoid serious conversations,    because his appearance has been unnaturally exaggerated. Joon-sang  responds with amusement as well. "Kim-seonbae, You're actually hungover, aren't you?" "What?" Kim laughs jokingly. Yoo-jin giggles and says to Kim: ”Would you like some tea?. Or water, perhaps?" "Well then, a glass of water, please.... Oh, and the kitchen is, I believe__" He says as looking toward the ba...

(Kim's reminiscence) Joon-sang raises his innocent gaze and murmurs. "Yes... the place I've longed to visit." Kim looks at him, asking. "Is it _" Taking a breath, Joon-sang says. "It's...not far from here." **  (Kim's reminiscence) About one hour later, Kim and Joon-sang take a cab to Yoo-jin's flat. They sit side by side in the back seat, seeing the cityscape of Seoul outside the windows. Kim says as if he is talking to himself: "I wonder...I doubt that Yoo-jin-si has been back." Joon-sang has his eyes closed for a while, thinking something, then opens them and answers: "According to a friend of mine in France, foreign students like Yoo-jin may complete  master's degrees by now. Well, honestly, I'm not sure she's graduated. But I think she might be back." Kim nods understandingly, then says: "Yes...but even if she's come back,  it doesn't necessarily mean that she stays at her old house, d...

(Kim's reminiscence) The child's cry gets louder. Joon-sang catches the male voice presumably that of the child's father. "Ah! Che-Hyon, Stay with us." Hearing it, he stiffens with his eyes wide open. Sang-hyeok? he mutters. The mother's voice echoes, gently soothing the child. "What's wrong, Che-Hyon?  why are you crying, darling. Come on." Joon-sang freezes. Yoo-jin. "She's not obedient, is she? Whose character did she inherit?"  "Oh, it's obvious, her father's! Good girl!  peekaboo!" It's Yoo-jin's voice. It cannot be misheard. Joon-sang, hearing the everyday life conversation between the happy family, stands alone there, and understands her life. Kim, running back to Joon-sang, notices something weird. "What's wrong?" Joon-san was too devastated to explain. Kim's attention is drawn to the young couple with the child a short distance away. He gasps when he realizes they are Yoo-jin, wh...
